Truth for Your Teens

How many of you feel like there’s a million different voices telling you who you should be? And better yet, these voices oftentimes contradict one another! Be fit, but not too skinny. Eat fun food, but not enough to make you gain weight. Have a curvy figure, but not too curvy. Be smart, but not a show-off. Be independent, but also nurturing and sensitive. How are we supposed to live up to these standards? And who decided these were the standards? If we’re not careful, we can easily go searching for worth and happiness in all the wrong places…trust me, I’ve been there.

I was bullied in middle school and high school, and that’s what prompted me to want to help other teens. I promised myself that what I was going through was going to mean something, and not just for myself and my life. I was going to use the experiences I had to help other girls going through the same thing.

Jump ahead to 25-year-old me, and I’ve had quite a few experiences that have molded me into the woman I am today. I’m by no means perfect, but God’s grace never asks for that. Instead, He asks us to show up, be present, and follow Him. So, whether you’re here for advice or guidance on bullies, boys, grades, school, parents, siblings, life, love, or meaning, I’ve got you covered. We’ll talk about all those things and more on Truth for Your Teens™, but to sum it up, I’ll say this: every podcast will come back to your worth, your life, and your purpose.

With love,
Alex
